This artwork explores the enduring connections between people, Country and spirit. The thousands of flowing marks represent the many stories, pathways and relationships that have been woven through time. Each mark reflects a journey, a memory and a connection passed through generations. The earthy ochre tones speak of the land and ancestral presence, while the layers of movement symbolise the continuing flow of knowledge, belonging and connection. “Ancient Connections” is a reflection on the stories held within Country and the threads that link us to those who walked before us.
